The doctor will see you now.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta is the multiple Emmy-award winning chief medical correspondent for CNN – and our next Ramsay Luncheon speaker.
He’ll be here on Thursday, April 12th and this is your invitation to join us.
Few health reporters are doctors. Sanjay Gupta is not only a practicing neurosurgeon and associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, but while he was embedded with the U.S. Navy’s “Devil’s Docs” medical unit in Iraq he performed life-saving brain surgery five times in a desert operating room.
Fewer reporters still work for one TV network while contributing to another. But you can see Sanjay Gupta on CNN and on CBS’ 60 Minutes as well.
It’s a rare doctor and health reporter who’s also written two best-selling books, let alone a new novel, Monday Mornings, that is just out.
And of course, it takes a very special doctor indeed to turn down an invitation from President Obama to be the U.S. Surgeon-General, which he did because he wants to spend more time with his family.
Obviously, we’re dealing with a doctor-reporter-health-critic-celebrity who…… has…….something ….. to …….say……about our health, our health care and our healers.
