Nathalie Bondil is Redefining the World of Museums and Galleries
For the past decade, Nathalie Bondil has turned the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts into one of the most daring and successful museums, not just in Canada, but anywhere.
As its Director and Chief Curator, she has brought the Museum’s exhibitions to 30 international cities. She’s invited fashion into the museum; opened it up to world cultures; launched daring contemporary programming and paired music with its collections.
This approach seems to be working: it’s the first Canadian museum to welcome over a million visitors a year, two years in a row, and its new Michel de la Chenelière International Atelier for Education and Art Therapy comprises the largest educational complex at any North American art museum.
Nathalie Bondil will speak at the Ramsay Breakfast Series, Fresh New Grounds, sponsored by BMO Financial, to bring to Toronto some of the most innovative ideas in the arts and civic engagement – with real lessons for us here.
So please join us to hear from a Canadian who’s transforming how the world sees — and shares — a museum.
